See? This is what happens in a Communist state. The Red Army team was waiting for the league to tell them that Schwabbie couldn't play instead of going and finding out themselves. Communism sucks the life blood out of people leaving them listless, shiftless, void of any drive, waiting for the Mother State to do everything for them.

It also leaves them in second place.

You know what else wasn't fun? Napoleon’s army laying siege to Moscow and fighting the Russians through a brutally cold winter. But they didn't give up. And if the French--that's right the French, whose army tanks have 4 reverse gears and one forward gear (in case the enemy gets behind them)-- can show that kind of intestinal fortitude, then gosh darn it the Larry's can too. And if we don't...if we don't show up ready to beat the Red Army then I will unleash a flurry of emails on this team that will make receiving an 8-1 drubbing from a friggin' slow-moving, arboreal, tropical American edentates of the family Bradypodidae* look pretty good.

G-d bless President Bush and our troops. Death to the communists.

Nice work, guys. You could not even pull out the 4-3 final I had predicted. Know that your sorry-butt record in games I have not played is 0-3-1. This has to improve.

We could have locked up home ice advantage through the playoffs with a win last night.

Freelgood disappointedly out

1/25/2007 Rockville, MD

The period of mourning has officially ended as the goalie phenom for the Red Army has come to terms with his aggressive style of play. Perhaps he should have followed the Icepack code of goalie conduct which states, "Thou shalt not wander from thy crease when there are only 3 skaters on thy bench"

The Red Army shall seek vengeance on the Larry's webmaster and Radio on February 27th.......so it is said, so shall it be done!

The key to the win Tuesday was #44 drawing up an O-zone play with TJ on the white board prior to the game. TJ waited until the 3rd period, but executed the play perfectly, to a tee, by carrying the puck into the offensive zone, curling right to draw the defense to him, and dropping a perfectly placed pass to #44. #44 missed the pass saying it was too close to the middle of the ice.

The next crucial play was Donk-e-donk waiting until 4:23 left in the game to get his required penalty. Next time, Donkey, get it out of the way in the first period. Tuesday's game was too close to wait.
